    Given Equation:

    => y = 2x - 2

    => y - 2x = 5

    Let’s solve to given equation first, before we give the answer

    => y - 2x = 2

    => y - 2x = 5

    Subtract both equation:

    Since y and 2x is present on both equation, cross out and the remaining value is 2 and 5

    => 2 + 5

    => 7

    Since this given equation has 1 answer, thus this equation belongs to the dependent system of equation.
