The teacher separated her class of thirty-three students into two groups. One group has 3 more than twice as many students as the other group. Use variable s for the group with less students.

    Consider, number of student in 1st group = s

    then, number of student in 2nd group = 2s+3

    Total students = 33

    so, s+2s+3 = 33

    3s=30

    s=10

    (2s+3) = 23
