Find the value of x. When the vertical angle is 6x+29 and the other angle is 8x-5

    Vertical angles are equal to each other so you set up the problem like this:

    6x+29=8x-5

    subtract 6x from both sides and add 5 to both sides

    8x-6x=29+5

    combine like terms

    2x=34

    divide both sides by 2

    x=17
