    If you meant ...

    (x^2+2x-5) / (6x-2) - (3x-2) / 2

    You need a common denominator of 2 (6x-2) = (12x-4)

    (2x^2+4x-10 - (3x-2) (6x-2)) / (12x-4)

    (2x^2+4x-10-18x+6x+12x-4) / (12x-4)

    (2x^2-8x-14) / (12x-4)

    (x^2-4x-7) / (6x-2)
