A contractor is building the base of a circular fountain. On the blueprint, the base of the foundation has a diameter of 18cm. The blueprint has a scale of three centimeters to four feet. 6 What will be the actual area of the base of the foundation, in square feet, after it is built? Round your answer to the nearest tenth of the square foot. Show your work

    Diameter of 18cm means radius of 9cm

    Area = pi9^2 = 81pi cm

    81pi cm * (4 ft/3 cm) = 108pi sq ft, or 339.3 sq ft
