    12 (5x+2) = 3 (6x+2) + 60

    60x+24=18x+6+60 (multiply first)

    60x+24=18x+66 (add like numbers)

    60x=18x+42 (take 24 from each side)

    42x=42 (take 18x from each side)

    You divide 42 by 42x

    So 42:42x=1

    x=1 is your answer

    12 (5x + 2) = 3 (6x + 2) + 60

    60x + 24 = 18x + 6 + 60

    60 x = 18x + 66 - 24

    60x - 18x = 42

    42x = 42

    x = 1
