    If I am understanding this question correctly, then u will have infinite solutions.

    example:

    2x + 2 = 2x + 2

    2x - 2x = 2 - 2

    0 = 0 ... variable becomes 0 and it is a true statement ... this results in infinite solutions

    little tip * * if the variable becomes 0 and it is not a true statement, then it results in no solution

    example:

    2x + 2 = 2x + 4

    2x - 2x = 4 - 2

    0 = 2 ... variable becomes 0, but it is not a true statement ... no solutions
