Becker catches a fish that's 3/12 of a yard long. to keep the fish, it has to be longer than 1/3 of a yard. can Becker his fish?. explain

    Just simply give each fraction a common denominator. In this case I will use 12. So just multiply both sides of 1/3 by 4 to get 4/12. Since 4/12 is greater than 1/3, he cannot keep the fish
