    Solve for 1 variable

    solve for y in 2nd

    y-x=4

    add x

    y=4+x

    su that for y in other

    2 (4+x) - x=3

    8+2x-x=3

    8+x=3

    minus 8

    x=-5

    sub back

    y=x+4

    y=-5+4

    y=-1

    (x, y)

    (-5,-1)
