    First change it to y intercept form by isolating the y

    -2x-4y=-2

    +2x + 2x

    -4y=2x-2 Now divide by - 4 to completely isolate the y

    y=-2/4x+1/2 Simplify

    y = - 1/2x + 1/2

    Parallel Slope = - 1/2x

    Perpendicular Slope = 2x
