Jaime knows that the area of a triangle can be found by the formula a=1/2bh. If the area of a triangle is 3.8 m2 and the height is 4.6 meters, what is the length of the base rounded to the nearest tenth of a meter?

    Triangle area =.5 * (base * height)

    3.8 = (base * 4.6) / 2

    7.6 / 4.6 = base

    base = 1.652173913

    or base = 1.6 rounded
