5x-6=2x how do i get x

    You will need to do the following

    You need to get both of the X's on the same side

    So you will take the 5x and subtract it to the other side to get

    -6=-3x

    -3 times 2 = - 6 so therefore - 6=-6

    -6 = - 3 (2)

    Answer: X = 2
