    Given that the longest side is 20 cm, 3x < 20 and x <20/3

Other inequality that has to be checked is that the sum of two any sides has to be greater than the other.

    Then 3x + x > 20

    4x > 20

    x > 5.

So the value of x is in the range (5, 20/3)
