    Taxi Charge = 1.75 + 0.75*Mile traveled.

    Let mile traveled be = m

    Taxi Charge = 1.75 + 0.75m

    So for a taxi charge of 4.75

    4.75 = 1.75 + 0.75m

    1.75 + 0.75m = 4.75

    0.75m = 4.75 - 0.75

    0.75m = 4

    m = 4/0.75

    m = 5.333

    Number of miles traveled = 5.33 miles.
