A sporting good store received an order of 90 baseball caps, of which 18 were green. if 1 of the 90 caps is selected at random, what is the probability it will not be green?

    Visualize that out of the 90 caps, how many were green? 18 were green. So how many were not green? 90 caps - 18 caps = 72 caps. That means 72 caps were not green in that sporting good order. Therefore, the probability of one cap selected at random from the total 90 caps will not be green will be 72/90 which is roughly 0.8 or 80 percent.
