A 24,000 gallon pool is being filled at a rate of 40 gallons per minute. at this rate, how many minutes will it take to fill this pool 3/4 full?

    Find 3/4 of 24000

    3/4 * 24000 = 18000

    Divide by 40.

    18000 / 40 = 450

    So it will take 450 minutes for it to be 3/4 full.
