    2/3 = 9/y

    cross multiply

    2y = 9 * 3

    2y = 27

    y = 27/2

    y = 13.5 or 13 1/2

    Ok could be direcly proportional or inversely proprtional

    directily proportional, is

    x1/y1=x2/y2

    where you are given x1, y1 and x2 or y2

    inversely proprtional is

    (x1) (y1) = (x2) (y2)

    where yo are given x1, y2 and x2 or y2

    directly

    y1=2

    x1=3

    y2=?

    x2=9

    3/2=9/?

    3?=18

    ?=6

    y=6

    inverse

    y1=2

    x1=3

    y2=?

    x2=9

    (3) (2) = (9) (?)

    6=9?

    2/3=?

    if directly proportional, y=6

    if inversely proportion, y=2/3
