    If triangle DEF is a right triangle with the legs as CG and DG, then we can solve this using Pythagorean theorem and express DG in terms of x

    DG = √ (x + 5) ² + (3x - 2) ²

    DG = √ (x² + 10x + 36 + 9x² - 12x + 4)

    DG = √ (10x² - 2x + 40)
