    Let's call the consecutive integers a, a+1, and a+2.

    they add up to 138: a + (a+1) + (a+2) = 3a+3=138

now you have an equation: 3a+3=138

subtract 3 from both sides: 3a=135

divide both sides by 3: a=45

so the consecutive integers are 45, 46, and 47
