How do you simplify this expression?

- (12-4x) + 8 (10-x)

    So pemdas (),^,*,/*+,-

    so - (12-4x) is the same as - 1 (12-4x) so distribute the - 1 to the 12 and the - 4x and you get - 12 - (-4x) or - 12+4x

    the second part is the same distribute 8 to the 10 and to the - x

    so you get 80-8x

    add them together and you get - 12+4x+80-8x or after collectin like terms 68-4x, you could factor it out to make it smaller to make it 2 (34-2x)
