    First equation by 3

    4x-6y=2

    times 3

    12x-18y=6

ok so see which terms can cancel and are factors

    3x+5y=11

3 times what whole number=-12 answer is - 4 so this is it

5 times what whole number=18 (so it can cancel) answe ris nothing so this isn't it

multiply second equaton by - 4 to make 3x into - 12x to add tothe 12 x in the other equation to gget 0x

    answer is - 4
