    He can make 20 jackets.

    1 and 4/5 = 1.8

That means it takes 1.8 yards to make ONE jacket.

Divide 36 (the total yards) by 1.8 (yards per jacket) to get the total jackets possible he can make = 20.

    In other words, 1.8 x 20 = 36.
