1/5 is equal to 2 / 10. so subtract 2/10 from original 9/10 to get 7/10. then subtract the other 1/10 and you end up with 6/10 fabric left

    1/5=2/10

    2/10+1/10=3/10

    9/10-3/10=6/10

    Answer 6/10 or 3/5
