What is the approximate area of the circle? Use 3.14 to approximate pi. Write the answer to the nearest hundredth.

    pi times radius^2

    pi=aprox 3.14 in this problem

    area=3.14 times radius^2

    radius=9

    area=3.14 times 9^2

    area=3.14 times 81

    area=254.34 square feet or

    254.34 ft^2
