Gary has 3/4 of yard of string. Rosemary has 3/7 of a yard of string. Explain how you are able to compare the length of the strings that Gary and rosemary have.

    You can compare them by turning them into equivalent fractions which they would be 3/4 = 21/28 and 3/7 = 12/28. 21 is greater than 12 so 21/28 is greater
