The table shows the number of houses in a new subdivision. Use the table to answer these questions. Suppose the number of houses tripled every month. How many more houses would be in the subdivision in Month 4? (The number of houses in Month 1 is still 3)

    Month 1 is 3 ... and if it triples every month ...

    month 2 : 3 x 3 = 9

    month 3 : 9 x 3 = 27

    month 4 : 27 x 3 = 81
