    In every 2/3 cup of water in a recipe, 1/4 tablespoon of salt is required. How about 1 cup of water?

    Using ratio and proportion, we can get how much salt is need for 1 cup

    2/3 : 1/4 = 1 : X

    2/3 x = 1/4

    3x = 8

    x = 8/3

    So, in a cup of water, we need 8/3 tablespoons of salt.
