Water World charges fares based on age. Children under 6 years old ride free. Children who are between the ages of 6 and 12 pay half fare. People who are older than 12 but are younger than 65 pay full fare. Those 65 or older pay reduced fares. Write a compound inequality to describe a, the ages in years of children who pay half fare.

    If a represent the ages of the children that are to pay for the ticket. a should be greater than or equal to 6 and it should also be lesser than or equal to 12. Thus, the inequality that best represents the ages of the children is,
