    In this equation, 2 (8x-4) - 2x = 14x+12 then, solving this we get, 16 x - 8 - 2x = 14x + 12 or - 8-12 = - 4x or - 20 = - 4x or x = 5. Thus, this equation hold true, When we use the equality sign instead of the question mark.
