Explain why partitioning a directed line segment into a ratio of 1:2 is not the same as finding half the length of the directed line segment.

    partitioning a directed line segment into a ratio of 1:2 is not the same as finding half the length of the directed line segment. For example you a line segment of leght 6 units then if you partion it as 1:2 then you have lengths of 2 units and 4 units, but if you find the half of the line segment then the lengths are 3 units and 3 units
