    Initial, x = 0, b = 50000

    day 1, x = 1, b = 50000 (1.05) ^-1

    day 2, x = 2, b = 50000 (1.05) = ^-2

    day 2 / day 1 = 1.05^-2 / 1.05^-1 = 1.05^-1 = 0.952

Which means that the number of bacteria decreased 4.8%
