    4/8 can still be simplified into 1/2.

    There is still 1/2 of the pizza left.

    4 : 4 = 1

    8 : 4 = 2

    4/8 of a pizza is 1/2 of a pizza.

    4/8 = 0.50

    1/2 = 0.50 They are still equal.

    We can also use proportion: a/b = c/d where ad = bc

    4/8 = 1/2

    4*2 = 8*1

    8 = 8
