    5x+2y=29

    x+4y=13

    Let's eliminate y;

    To do so, multiply equation1 by 2;

    10x+4y=58

    x+4y=13

    Subtract equation II from equation I to get;

    9x=45

    x=5

    To solve for y, replace value of x in equation II,

    x+4y=13

    5+4y=13

    4y=8

    y=2
