The first side of a triangle is 3 m shorter than the second side the third side is 4 times as long as the first side the perimeter is 27 m find the length of each side.

    I believe that when you calculate a triangles length that you must add all the sides together to get the perimeter.

    Let's say that 3m is side A and 18m (that's what 4 times 3 is) is side B.

    Therefore, A + B + C = 27m

    The C would be the third side, which seems to be what you're looking for.

    So, 3m + 18m = 21m

    27m - 21m = 6m
