    If Tim spends a third of each weekday sleeping, this means he spends 8/24 hours a day asleep. If he spends 7/24 hours of each weekday in school too, this means the combined time he spends sleeping and in school is 8/24 + 7/24, so he spends 15/24 hours each weekday sleeping in school (three more hours than half a day)
