    Find a common denominator by finding a common multiple.

    for example a common denominator for 1/2 and 1/4 would be 4.

    Multiply the bottom you multiply the top with the same number so you will turn 1/2 to 5/10 then you will add (this is continuing from the 3 dots on the paper
