    12 (5x-1) = 7 (2x+2)

    Distribute 12 and 7

    60x-12=14x+14

    Add 12 to each side

    60x=14x+26

    Subtract 14x on each side

    46x=26

    Divide by 46 on each side

    x=26/46 or x=13/23

    60x - 12 = 14x^2 + 14x

    Subtract 60x & Combine

    -12 = 14x^2+14x-60x

    -12 = 14x^2-46x

    Add 12

    0 = 14x^2-46x-14
