What is the value of x in the equation?

4+x+2-2x=5

    The value of x would be one. This is true because one you combine like terms you would get 6-1x=5 then you need to solve for x to get - 1x=-1 and you divide both side by - 1 to find x = 1

    I think the answer is 1 because if you add 4+1+2 it equals 7 but when you subtract 2x the difference is 5.
