The waist to Hip Ratio (WHR) is a ratio, commonly expressed as a decimal that has been shown to be a good predictor of possible cardiovascular problems in both men and women. If a male has a WHR greater than 1 he is considered to be at high risk for cardiovascular problems. Calculate the WHR of a male with a waist measurement of 40 inches and hip measurement 2 inches less.

    To get the WHR ratio just minus the waist which measure 40 inches by the hip which measure 2 inches.

    so WHR - 40/38 which is 1.05
