A person who weighs 100 pounds on earth weights 16.6 Ib. on the moon what is the independent variable

    To find weight you use the equation w=m*a. W is weight, m is mass, a is acceleration due to gravity. Since acceleration due to gravity is different on the moon than it is on earth that is the dependant variable. Since the persons mass does not change that is the independent variable
