A wilson's Storm Petrel is a small bird with a wingspan of 1 1/3 feet. A california condor is a large bird with a wingspan almost 7 time as wide as the wingspan of the petrel. About how wide is the wingspan of the california condor

    We have to multiply 1 1/3 and 7. It will be easier if we first make 1 1/3 into an improper fraction which will be 4/3. We can write 7 as 7/1. We now multiply 4/3 and 7/1 across. This will give us 28/3. If we simplify this we get 9 1/3, which means that the California Condor is 9 1/3 feet wide.
