    So we wan't to know what is the sum of 3 2/3 and 14 2/5. First lets turn them into fractions: first one is 11/3 and the second is 72/5. Now lets add them: We multiply fractions this way: (a/b) + (c/d) = { (a*d) + (c*b) } / (b*d). Following this rule: { (11*5) + (72*3) } / (3*5) = {55+146}/15=201/15. and finally lets turn it back into a mixed number: 13 6/15
