How to I find the prime factorization of 36

    Basically, you break the number down until the number can't be broken down any more.

    So 36 is 12x3.

    12 is 3x4

    4 is 2x2

    So now we broken the number down into the prime numbers that multiply to get 36: 3x3x2x2, or (3^2) (2^2)
