    First you would multiply $15 BY 12 To get 180 then subtract it from 198 to get 18

    Given:

    Cost of Bike = $198

    Savings = $15

    Number of weeks saved = 12 weeks

    We simply deduct the amount saved from the total cost of the bike to know the amount that is still needed to be saved.

    $198 - 15 (12) = $183

    $198 - 180 = $18

    Ryan needs to save $18 more before he can buy the bike.
