    (8x + 6) / 5 - (6x - 12) / 2 = 1 / 2;

    (16x + 12) / 10 - (30x - 60) / 10 = 5 / 10;

    16x + 12 - 30x + 60 = 5;

    - 14x + 72 = 5;

    - 14x = - 67;

    x = 67 / 14 = 4.78;

    Multiply both sdies by 10 to get rid of the fractions

    20 (4x+3) / 5-60 (x-2) / 2=5

    4 (4x+3) - 30 (x-2) = 5

    distribute

    16x+12-30x+60=5

    add like terms

    -14x+72=5

    subtract 72 from both sdies

    -14x=-67

    multiplyh - 1

    14x=67

    divide both sdies by 14

    x=67/14
