    Lets solve the first part first.

    8 (6a+7b)

    Distribute the 8 to the 6a and 7b

    48a+56b

    Now the next half

    -11 (2b+8a)

    Distribute the - 11 to 2b and 8a

    -22b-88a

    Then we have to combine 48a 56b - 22 b - 88a

    48a-88a = - 40a

    56b-22b = 34b

    -40a+34b
