    Y = 2x + 3

    y = x² - 5

    2x + 3 = x² - 5

    - 3 - 3

    2x = x² - 8

    - 2x - 2x

    0 = x² - 2x - 8

    x = - (-2) ± √ ((-2) ² - 4 (1) (-8))

    2 (1)

    x = 2 ± √ (4 + 32)

    2

    x = 2 ± √ (36)

    2

    x = 2 ± 6

    2

    x = 1 ± 3

    x = 1 + 3 U x = 1 - 3

    x = 4 x = - 2

    y = 2x + 3

    y = 2 (4) + 3

    y = 8 + 3

    y = 11

    (x, y) = (4, 11)

    y = 2x + 3

    y = 2 (-2) + 3

    y = - 4 + 3

    y = - 1

    (x, y) = (-2, - 1)

    The two answers Is equal to A and D.
