Meagan and her friends are knitting small squares to join together to form a blanket. The side length of each square must be 7 inches. The blanket will be a square with 10 squares on each side. What is the total area of the blanket?

    490 inches because a square has the same dimensions on each side so 7x7=49 and since there are 10 squares you multiply 49x10 Which equals 490 inches.

    If the side length of each square must be 7 inches then you would multiply 7 times 4 and get 28 and then multiply 28 by 10 because there is 10 squares on each side, which gets you 280 and then you would multiply 280 by 4 because there is 4 sides to a square so your final answer would be 1120
