    Derive the system of linear equations from the given above,

    y = mx + b

    From the given,

    110 = m (2) + b

    220 = m (4) + b

    From the system, the value of m is equal to 55 and b is equal to 0. Therefore, after 5 hours, the car travels (55 m/s) x 5 s = 275 meters.
