    So a possible amount of time

    find the range of highest and lowest

    equation is

    (number of corns per hour) times (number of hours) = 72

    so

    12 times x=72 would be longest and

    18 times y=72 would be shortest

    solve

    12 times x=72

    divid 12

    x=6

    6 hours at most

    18 times x=72

    divide 18

    x=4

    at most 6 hours an at least 4 hours so

    6>hours>4

    any number of hours from 4 to 6 including 4 and 6

    If Wyatt can husk at least 12 an hour, then to work out how much 72 takes, we do 72 : 12 to find out the time. The answer is 6.

    If Wyatt can husk 18 at most, then we do 72 : 18 = 4 hours.

    Wyatt can husk 72 dozen ears in anywhere between 4 and 6 hours, but if you were to average it, you would get 5 hours. ((4 + 6) : 2 = 5).
